

Biography
The symphonic folk metal band “The Crescent’s Call” emerged on the scene in 2019, founded by the visionary Christina Fuxjäger.
In 2019/20, Fuxjäger embarked on composing their debut album, “The Call,” perfected in 2021 alongside the talented bass player Lukas Rappitsch. The recording sessions for this groundbreaking album took place between May and July 2021 at Treehouse Studios in Vienna, under the expert production of Rappitsch and meticulous sound editing and mixing by Andreas Koch.
Their electrifying first live performance in May 2022 at Escape Metalcorner Vienna garnered rave reviews and set the stage for their rising fame.
Autumn 2022 marked a milestone for The Crescent’s Call with the release of “The Call,” celebrated with spectacular live shows at Szene Wien and in Windischgarsten, the hometown of bandleader Christina Fuxjäger. That same year, they unveiled their captivating music video for “Fly into Death,” directed by the creative Denis Kunz and skillfully edited by Lorraine Burbulla.
Another milestone was their second appearance at the Metal Escalation Festival on August 29, 2025, in Gloggnitz, where they performed the traditional special act “Metal Meets Mozart” alongside frontwoman Debora from DEEP SUN. The setlist included, among other pieces, the famous Queen of the Night aria from „The Magic Flute“, arranged in a metal style.
An absolute highlight was their nomination for the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle Austria. With a spectacular show on May 9, 2026, at Szene Wien, they wowed the audience and the jury. Through winning the national battle they secured their spot at the legendary Wacken Open Air 2026 in Germany.
